Picking up where we left off last week – if friendship is the secret to success, WHY is making friends so challenging once you’ve hit a certain age? For those of you who spend time with young children, they need pretty much zero in common to deem someone their “best friend forever.” And if you remember back to college, all it took was a few days together to build a lasting bond, and my guess is some of you all still talk to those college friends pretty regularly! So why, now that we’re arguably more stable, confident, and (ideally) the versions of ourselves we’d really like to be, is it so much harder to make friends? |
