Ooooh boy! It sure felt like summer this past Memorial Day Weekend... which does tend to the unofficial kickoff of the summer season, doesn't it?

 

So this week, let’s keep it REALLY simple. As you head on down to your summer home or kick it at the beach this weekend, let’s get back to the basics and show our bodies a little love.

1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

The temps are going up and we’re finally at that time of the year when we get to be outside all the time. Do your body right and prioritize hydration this week!

2. Find what works for your summer schedule.

All of our schedule’s change in the summer! And that’s okay. It’s the ebb and flow of the seasons and life and honestly I like that things get to change periodically throughout the year. So if your schedule is changing, don’t be afraid to let your healthy habits change, too!

3. Embrace seasonal cooking and eating.

Summer brings such a bountiful harvest of delicious produce! Grilling is also my favorite way to cook pretty much everything in the summer (bonus - you don’t heat up your already sweltering house with the oven/stove!).

I hope you are feeling empowered to regularly incorporate these self-love practices into your daily routine. Keep the bingo square hanging on your fridge as a simple reminder for ways you can prioritize your mental, physical, and spiritual health, even when things feel hard.

Self-Care looks different for everyone… and especially looks different each day. Spend some time tuning in this week - do you need a little ~push~ or does ~hitting the breaks~ feel better. Either way, there’s plenty of opportunity to reward yourself with some self-love.
