How do you typically feel on Sundays? Do you experience a case of the “Sunday Scaries.”? Or do you feel relaxed, rested and excited for the week ahead?
I would say most of the time, the first one resonates with us... however, we can change it and I'm going to show you how Sundays can be your day to set the tone for a successful and fulfilling week.
By creating a Super Simple Sunday Reset Routine, you can take control of your time, reduce stress, and start each week feeling organized and energized.
Here’s how to make it work: Divide your Sunday Reset into five categories, and choose 1-2 tasks in each category to focus on. Keep it simple and doable. Remember, the goal is to make your week easier, not to overwhelm yourself with a long to-do list.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Cleaning: Pick one cleaning task to tackle. Maybe it’s deep cleaning the bathroom, tidying up your living space while your bedsheets are in the wash, or finally folding that laundry pile. Choose one that will make your home feel more welcoming.
- Food: Plan for the week’s meals in a way that suits you best. This could mean grocery shopping, scheduling a grocery delivery, prepping meals for the week, or just planning out your dinner menu. A little preparation now saves a lot of time and stress later.
- Movement: Take a few minutes to plan your movement for the week. Schedule your workouts or any physical activities so they become a priority. Whether it’s a morning walk, a yoga class, or a trip to the gym, get these on your calendar first.
- Relational: Nourish your connections by planning one activity that supports your relationships. Schedule a coffee date with a friend, plan a family dinner, or set a reminder to call someone you care about. Small moments of connection can have a big impact.
- Self-Care: Carve out time for yourself with a simple self-care activity. Whether it’s a DIY mani-pedi, a long bath, a good book, or just some quiet time to meditate, choose something that leaves you feeling refreshed and pampered.
Creating a Sunday Reset Routine is about setting yourself up for a week that feels more manageable and balanced.
