Consistency... Impossible in the summer

Yes, consistency is possible during the summer, but not how we typically think about it.

Let’s be honest—summer routines are not like the rest of the year. Between travel, kids home from school, holidays, longer days, and a little more "why not?" energy… it's easy to feel like you've "fallen off track."

But what if you haven’t? 🤯

 

What if consistency isn’t about doing the same thing every day...

...but about showing up in the best way possible based on where you are, what you have, and what you need?

 

In the FIERCE world, we define consistency differently:
It’s not about perfection.
It’s not about never missing a day.
It’s not about forcing what no longer fits.

Consistency is committing to yourself over and over again.

Even if it looks a little different in July than it did in March.

 

Here’s what that could look like ⬇️

  • Aiming for 3 workouts this week instead of 5 (and calling that a win ✅)

  • Walking while on vacation and skipping the guilt

  • Having ice cream at the BBQ and still prioritizing hydration and protein

  • Doing any version of your routine instead of waiting to “start over Monday”

 

Tips to reframe consistency for July & August:

  1. Set weekly goals, not daily ones. Think totals, not streaks.

  2. Choose your Big 3: pick just 3 habits to focus on—anything more can feel like overload.

  3. Give yourself a buffer. Schedule in downtime, changes, fun... and don't call that failure.

  4. Create a summer rhythm, not a summer plan. You’re not a machine. Be flexible and kind.

 

You don't need to overhaul your life to stay on track. You just need to keep choosing to show up, in the way that fits right now.

That’s consistency.
That’s FIERCE.
