These are the Things Keeping Me Sane Right Now...

Workouts, Tiger King, & Books, Oh My!

These (and a few others) are my favorite things that are keeping me sane right now. I'm sharing my current go-tos in the hopes it sparks some ideas on how to tap in to what feels good for so we can begin to release the rest.

First up: FOOD!  That's definitely been a go-to for me and while the first few days (ok, the first week) felt like a free-for-all, I have pulled in the reins. I love trying out new recipes for dinners each week and enjoy exploring healthier versions of yummy treats.  My favorites so far are Black Bean EnchiladasGrilled Avocado ChickenAlmond Berry Muffins, and No-Bake Energy Bites.

Second: My Morning Routine & Rituals.  One of my absolute favorite parts of my day is my sacred morning time. I have kept my same early wake-up time and the practices that calm my brain, ground my soul, and fill my cup so I am ready to give and serve. The only thing that's changed is that I have more time to spend here which I am fully soaking up! I love starting my day with warm lemon water & meditating, followed by yoga, intention setting, journaling, and of course coffee!!!

The books I am reading right now are "Super Attractor", "The Gifts of Imperfection", and "Do Less". I recommend checking out Yoga with Adriene for lovely daily practices and Headspace for guided meditations. 

Create your morning Routine & Rituals: 

Most of the people in our houses are asleep in the earlier morning hours making it ideal for some "me" time. It doesn't matter what you do with your morning time. What's important is how it makes you feel and how it can set the tone for a stellar day.  Choose 1 or 2 things that feel good for you and begin tomorrow morning. xo


Next: Sweating, Stretching, & Zooming!

Exercise has always been a grounding force in my life because it allows me to get out of my head and truly feel into my body. No secret that I love it... you know, hence the whole "I'm a trainer" thing.😃 I've been stretching & rolling daily and mixing up my workouts with a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

The BEST part of the exercise piece has been Zooming with our FIERCE Tribe! We've been experiencing LIVE classes together via Zoom & Facebook and it has been phenomenal! Oh, to hear your sweet voices and see your beautiful faces... what a gift! Thank you!

It's like a little slice of normal that feels good to the mind, body, & soul.

FamilyPlaying games, making up new words, new dance moves. Cooking together, going on walks, you name it. Sharing this time with people you love is essential. Connecting with my Dad & Sister on Facetime has been fabulous too!  Soak it up!

Laughter: Carpool Karaoke!  I LOVE this show! You can sing along to fabulous music, laugh hysterically at the jokes and shenanigans that go on and simply have fun. It's light and simple and FUN!

Two Words: Tiger King.  I don't think any of my words could do this one justice or even begin to describe what this is about. If you've seen it, you know.  If you don't know what this is, enter at your own risk!

Wine.  Does this one need an explanation?  Definitely keeping it in check but I have enjoyed some great glasses of cab, sipping slow, and just being.


This is a new experience for all of us and it is 100% ok to feel like you don't know what to do or that you don't want to do much.  Embrace that. Respect that.  And, then simply focus on feeling good.

What are the things that feel good to you? How can you spend more time doing those things? Choose to fill up from the inside out and do what you need to do to take care of you.
