From the Women Who’ve Been There
Real reflections from those who stepped away, reconnected, and came home changed.
Amy B.Â
"I am still feeling the glow of Portugal and am so grateful for the experience!! The most meaningful part was revisiting the week’s themes through journaling, then looking back to see my response to the same prompt only four days earlier — the shift was incredible. My spirit had become more relaxed, expansive, and joyful. If you are open, you will be filled and lifted.”
Alissa S.Â
“I didn’t know what to expect for my first retreat, but it far exceeded any expectations. I grew, pushed myself outside my comfort zone, and made friends along the way. There was so much self-reflection and self-care — things I hadn’t made time for in years. I came back a changed person with a new tribe that supports me no matter what. Women supporting women can make a huge difference in the world.”
Annie R.Â
“It was an opportunity to pause from the responsibilities of my busy life and go on an adventure with a group of women to a beautiful destination — and it turned out to be so much more. It nurtured my mind, body, and soul. Since my first retreat in 2019, I have attended four more retreats! I have come to realize how important it is for me to take time for myself and to embrace opportunities for fun and personal growth."

MEET YOUR GUIDES
COACHÂ D.
I’m Derith — but most people know me as Coach D. I’m a women’s wellness coach, retreat guide, and the founder of FIERCE by Choice — a movement rooted in helping women fiercely love the skin they’re in through strength, self-care, and soul connection.
… but most of all, FIERCE is about choosing yourself, every single day. It’s about having the courage to step into your truth, your power, and your next season with intention.
I’ve been coaching for over 25 years, guiding women to create lives filled with purpose, confidence, and vitality. I’ve led thousands of fitness classes, coached habit transformation programs, hosted life-changing retreats, and built a community where women feel seen, supported, and strong — inside and out.
What lights me up? Helping women rediscover their power — physically, emotionally, and energetically. Whether it’s through a barbell, a breakthrough moment, or a still sunrise on retreat, I believe we all have the capacity to shift, heal, and grow.
My coaching blends movement, mindset, and meaning — with equal parts humor, truth-telling, and heart. You won’t find quick fixes here — only real conversations, aligned actions, and a deep commitment to living fully and fiercely.
This retreat is your invitation to press the pause button with intention and return to yourself. I can’t wait to walk alongside you.
MANUELA SIEGFRIED
Manuela was born and raised in Costa Rica, the daughter of Swiss immigrants, and has spent her life surrounded by trees, dogs, birds, and ocean air.
Growing up in nature shaped everything about her—today she is a certified forest bathing (nature connection) guide, retreat leader, and a certified Breathwork and Sound Healing Facilitator, known for creating deeply grounding, heart-opening experiences in collaboration with the land.
After years of guiding transformational retreats in Costa Rica, Manuela felt a powerful pull to make a radical change—not from crisis, but from what she lovingly calls a “midlife awakening.” When her children set off on their own paths, she followed her heart to the deep south of Italy—Salento, Puglia—a place that had quietly lived in her heart for years. Now based near the sea in a small town, she weaves her love of nature, simple joy, and inner listening into everything she offers.
At Wild, Rooted, & Free, Manuela will guide you through forest bathing, breathwork, and nature-based rituals that help you slow down, listen deeply, and remember your own inner guidance—held by the ancient olive trees and the soul of Salento she now calls home.Â
