Everything around us right now seems to be dipped in chocolate and we are never short on reasons to sip and say, "cheers!". The celebrations are aplenty and the potential to let it all go and just "wait" until January can be quite tempting.
But, we can find a way to enjoy these fun moments and keep it all in check. Here I share my top 5 tips to survive the holidays, fiercely.

The Top 5 To Survive
#1 The 3 D's
1) Delegate any little thing you can... emails, trash, dry cleaning, dishes, etc; 2) Deferanything non-urgent that can wait until after the holidays; and 3) Delete anything that doesn't have a purpose, isn't fun, or really doesn't need to be done in the first place...hello Facebook...
#2 Move It, Move It
Your body that is. Just move. Keep it simple, grab a friend, and get that endorphin rush going! The better you feel the less likely you are to reach for the junk & the easier it is to handle the stress, which is aplenty.
#3 H2O, E.O.
Start your holiday party with a seltzer with a splash of lime and then drink water forEvery Other drink you have. This tip paces you, keeps you hydrated and ensures you aren't "over-served" which almost always leads to overeating.
#4 Foodie Finesse
Choose your food wisely. Save the nibbles & tastes for your favorites only & skip the rest. Position yourself away from the food table because the old mantra, "out of sight, out of mind" actually works!
#5 Remember the Reason
Stay mindful of WHY you are doing what you are doing. It is easy to forget the magicof giving and the power of connecting with loved ones when we are caught up in the "I have so much to do" mode. Let go, let loose, have fun, and allow the spirit of the season to keep you in the moment and joyful.
