This isn’t just a vacation—it’s a shared adventure in the Costa Rican mountains designed to bring you and your adult daughter (18+) closer in the most natural, joyful way. For 5 days and 4 nights, you’ll call Hotel Finca 360 home—a boutique eco-hotel set in the lush hills of Venecia, Alajuela, surrounded by waterfalls, volcano views, and tropical forest.
Each day blends gentle movement and mindfulness, playful exploration of Costa Rica’s wild beauty, and guided mother–daughter connection sessions that help you really see and understand each other. You’ll hike to blue pools and waterfalls, visit an organic farm, savor a private cooking class with local ingredients, create keepsakes in a jewelry-making workshop, and (if you choose) soar through the canopy on an optional zip line adventure.
There’s time to soak in natural hot springs, wander through La Fortuna, and also simply rest—swinging in a hammock, journaling at sunset, or saying yes to a massage.
You’ll laugh, explore, and reconnect in ways that feel light, real, and unforgettable—leaving with shared stories, inside jokes, and a deeper bond, all wrapped in the magic of Pura Vida.

LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN COSTA RICA
Hotel Finca 360 is a retreat like no other. Nestled on the edge of the rainforest, you'll enjoy superb views of volcanoes, mountains, the Juan Castro National Park, the San Carlos Valley and even the mountains in distant Nicaragua! The hotel features deluxe rooms, each with a balcony with views of mountains or the forest. Amenities include the Morpho Spa, a private dining room serving local and international cuisine, and staff that treats you like family. If you want off-the-beaten-path luxury, wildlife and birdwatching, personal attention, and access to incredible waterfalls, Finca 360 is the place for your Costa Rican dream vacation.
Our Itinerary
Exact times may shift with weather but this gives you a feel for our flow.
DAY 1:Â Arrive, Ground, & Create
Arrive as a group to Hotel Finca 360. Settle into your room, breathe in the mountain air, and explore the incredible property.
In the late afternoon, we’ll gather for a welcome happy hour + intention setting and a playful jewelry-making session to kick things off and get to know each other. We’ll close the day with a gentle yoga practice and sound bowls to recalibrate after the travel day and ease into retreat mode grounded and centered.
DAY 2:Â Farm-to-Table & Pura Vida Living
After a fun morning movement session and mindful breakfast, we're off to explore at Finca Ecoorganica Sarapiquà for a unique look at the traditional crops that have shaped Costa Rican culture...pineapple, coffee, cacao, bananas. Back at Finca 360, we'll enjoy some relaxed downtime - massages, naps, journaling, swimming or chatting on the terrace—followed by a Mother–Daughter Circle to deepen understanding and share stories. Dinner and a simple reflection ritual round out the day.
DAY 3:Â Adventure, Shopping & Hot Springs
We begin with a mother-daughter challenge in our morning movement practice and follow that up with a yummy breakfast overlooking the rainforest. Then adventurous pairs can choose optional zip-lining, while others explore at their own pace (your choice).
Then we’ll head into La Fortuna for lunch and a little shopping in this vibrant Costa Rican town. Then we’ll soak in natural hot springs to relax, regenerate, and let the day’s adventure land in your body. We'll enjoy dinner out before returning to Finca 360 for a quiet, restful night.
DAY 4:Â Waterfalls, Wonder & Celebration
We’ll begin with a mobility and activation practice, then set off for a waterfall hike and swim at The Blue Falls—home to the most unique blue waterfall experience in Costa Rica... a chance to play, splash, and soak up the power of the water.
Back at Finca 360, you’ll have time to relax, rest, get a massage, and enjoy the property before our closing Mother–Daughter Celebration Circle, where you’ll reflect on what you’re taking home and how you want to stay connected. We’ll share a final dinner together and celebrate the memories you’ve created... and perhaps even a little dancing.
DAY 5:Â Integration & Departure
On our final morning, we’ll enjoy a light breakfast, a short stretch + grounding practice, and space for last photos and hugs. Then we’ll travel together back to SJO airport for departures.
You’ll leave with smiling faces, full hearts, and a new chapter written in your soul.

TRAVEL LOGISTICS

Retreat Dates: June 20–24, 2026
Arrival Airport: Juan SantamarĂa International Airport (SJO) – San JosĂ©, Costa Rica
You’ll fly into SJO, and from there we’ll take care of you. Round-trip group transportation between SJO and our retreat venue, Hotel Finca 360 in Bajos del Toro, is included in your retreat package.
Once flights are booked, we’ll request your arrival and departure details and coordinate group pickup and drop-off windows so you can travel to and from the hotel with the group. The drive from SJO to Finca 360 is a beautiful scenic ride through the mountains and typically takes about 1.5–2 hours, depending on traffic and weather.
You will need a valid passport to enter Costa Rica. Most travelers are required to have at least 6 months of validity remaining on their passport from their date of entry, so please check your passport now and renew it if needed. If you’re traveling from outside the U.S., be sure to confirm any visa or entry requirements for your specific country.
If you choose to arrive early or stay longer in Costa Rica, you’ll be responsible for your own transportation and accommodations outside the official retreat dates, but we’re happy to offer guidance.
Travel insurance is highly recommended (but not required) and is not included in your registration.

I’m Derith — but most people know me as Coach D. I’m a women’s wellness coach, retreat guide, and founder of FIERCE by Choice, a movement rooted in helping women fiercely love the skin they’re in through strength, self-care, and soul connection. At its heart, FIERCE is about choosing yourself, every single day — having the courage to step into your truth, your power, and your next season with intention.
Costa Rica holds a very special place in my heart. This will be my third time at Finca 360, and our group was actually Rosie’s very first retreat there. I’ve known Rosie for over 20 years, and coming back to this land with moms and daughters feels like coming full circle. After losing my own mom, Lee, to cancer in 2019, it became more clear than ever just how sacred the mother–daughter relationship is. My mom was the first FIERCE woman I ever knew — strong, loving, imperfect, and brave — and so much of what I teach now is rooted in the lessons I learned from her.
I’ve been coaching for over 25 years, guiding women to create lives filled with purpose, confidence, and vitality. I’ve led thousands of fitness classes, coached habit and lifestyle shifts, and hosted retreats that help women remember who they are beneath the noise. My coaching blends movement, mindset, and meaning — with equal parts humor, truth-telling, and heart. You won’t find quick fixes here, just real conversations, aligned action, and space to show up exactly as you are.
