Cocoon Portugal
Cocoon Portugal is a 275 acre coastal farm + retreat, offering inspiration + community for the modern traveller. It's also pure magic, where between the oversized hammocks and the coastal bluffs, you'll start to lose track of time. The kind of place where each morning is a celebration, practicing under the canopy of old growth pines, but so is each evening, with world class wine and fascinating dinner conversation.
Cocoon is situated on the breathtaking Atlantic coast of Portugal, near the charming fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar, in the Alentejo region, which is known for its long stretches of untouched coastline and charming white-washed villages. From Lisbon, it's about two hours drive south, located at 7645 Vila Nova de Milfontes, Portugal.

Right in Milfontes is Cavaleiro Beach - which is a favorite - a fabulous untouched beach, perfect for swimming, hiking or sunbathing. We'll enjoy barefoot walks in the sand, earthing at its best, to ground down and center ourselves for our time together.
Farm to Table Meals
We believe in nourishing the body and eating delicious food. Luckily at Cocoon, we can do both. The food is local, from their property, or a nearby farm. From a sustainability standpoint, Cocoon chooses not to serve red meat, pork or poultry. They do serve eggs from their chickens, locals cheeses, and occasionally wild-caught Atlantic fish... and wood-fired pizza.
Nature & Adventure
Embrace the outdoors together with our tribe and solo with coastal hikes, bike rides, and opportunities for exploration, all set amidst stunning landscapes... Help collect eggs or simply daydream in an oversized hammock. Cocoon is just a 10-minute drive from the coast and there's world-class hiking on the famed Costa Vicentina trail, full of unforgettable views.

Travel Logistics
AIRFARE & ARRIVAL
Cocoon is located in the coastal Alentejo region of Portugal. The nearest town is the charming Vila Nova de Milfontes. Two airports that you can fly into are Lisbon International Airport a two hour drive to Cocoon, or Faro International Airport which is about an hour and 45 minute drive. Lisbon has a lot of international flights, whereas Faro is where many low-cost European airlines fly.
Guests can book an optional group shuttle spot for transportation to and from Lisbon on February 24th and March 1st. The cost is $120 each direction. If guests would prefer to rent cars, there is also parking available at the property.
We will also be creating a google doc where guests can share their information and link up to share a car rental.
If you'd rather not rent a car, you can always taxi to the retreat center or take can take the Rede Express Bus from Lisbon, and we will pick you up near the Cocoon Bus Station.
PASSPORT
For international travelers passports must have 6 months of validity at the time of entry.
